Ever heard of the book 'Freakling?'

okay so homestuck inbound but

freakling is a story about a community where it is common, basically needed, to have psionics, or psi. they have sports, clean, cook, do lots of simple stuff with their psi. the main character, Taemon, loses his psi in an attempt to kill his brother, who has attempted to kill him 2 times before because he has a special power. its a really good book but i cant really explain it any better w/o spoiling what i've read about it. but okay heres the homestuck part
is it just me, or is taemon like the spitting image of mituna? lots of his friends have psychic abilities, and he was one of the best psiioniics around, until he loses them all in a fit of protecting the people he loves. that is almost exactly what taemon does.
